Optical Microscopy

Much overdue, but I got trained on the Breakerspace optical microscope, and spent a couple of afternoons looking at some desiccated bugs and taking photos. They lack a bit of scientific rigor (i.e., they don’t have scale bars) and were taken using a variety of objectives (5x / 10x / 20x).

The Breakerspace is an interesting place to work because it’s right in the middle of MIT’s infinite corridor, so I get to see many of my friends who pass by and there are also a lot of tourists who take photos of you. However, it leads to really wholesome interactions, as well :). This was a great exercise in creativity, I find that I spend a lot of my time looking for elements and texture packs when working on graphic design projects. It is very gratifying when you can generate them yourself.
